H.R.H. Prince Fahad Bin Mansour Bin Saad Bin Saud AtSaud ประธานสหพันธ์มวยไทยซาอุดีอาระเบีย เสด็จฯ เยือนการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย โดยมี พลเอก อุดมเดช สีตบุตร ประธานอนุกรรมการดำเนินการขับเคลื่อนกีฬามวยไทยสู่โอลิมปิก พร้อมด้วย ดร.ก้องศักด ยอดมณี ผู้ว่าการการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย, คุณสุปราณี คุปตาสา ผู้จัดการกองทุนพัฒนาการกีฬาแห่งชาติ, พลโท รณวุธ เรืองสวัสดิ์ รองผู้อำนวยการศูนย์พัฒนากีฬากองทัพบก (มวยไทยลุมพินี) ร่วมรับเสด็จฯ เมื่อวันที่ 12 พฤษภาคม 2565 ที่ผ่านมา

โดยการเสด็จฯ ในครั้งนี้เป็นการประชุมหารือแนวทางการประสานความร่วมมือในการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนกีฬามวยไทย เช่น การฝึกสอนศิลปะการต่อสู้แม่ไม้มวยไทยให้กับหน่วยในกองทัพบก และหน่วยรบพิเศษของกองทัพซาอุดีอาระเบีย ซึ่งจะเป็นการเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีระหว่างทั้งสองประเทศ รวมทั้งการจัดการแข่งขันกีฬามวยไทยระหว่างทหารจากกองทัพประเทศต่างๆ ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้ศิลปแม่ไม้มวยไทยเป็นที่นิยมแพร่หลายไปสู่สากล อันจะเป็นพื้นฐานที่สำคัญ ที่จะทำให้กีฬามวยไทยได้รับการพิจารณาบรรจุในการแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกต่อไปในอนาคต ซึ่งการประชุมหารือกันในครั้งนี้ สอดคล้องกับการลงนามในข้อตกลงระหว่างการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย กับ กองทัพบก ที่จะร่วมกันส่งเสริมกีฬามวยไทยให้เป็นที่ยอมรับและแพร่หลายยิ่งขึ้นต่อไป

H.R.H. Prince Fahad Bin Mansour Bin Saad Bin Saud Al Saud, President of the Saudi Muaythai Federation, paid a visit to Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) with the cordial salutation from Gen. Udomdej Sitabutr, Chairman of Muaythai to the Olympics Subcommittee, Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, Governor of Sports Authority of Thailand, Dr. Supranee Guptasa, Manager of the National Sports Development Fund, Lt. Gen. Ronawut Ruangsawat, The First Deputy Chief of Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on May 12, 2022.

The arrival of H.R.H. Prince Fahad Bin Mansour Bin Saad Bin Saud Al Saud was to attend an assembly in order to discuss the ways to coordinate cooperation in promoting and supporting Muaythai such as teaching Mae Mai Muaythai to the Saudi Arabian Armies and the Special Forces, which will lead to a good relationship between the two countries, and organizing a Muaythai competition between armies from various countries to promote and publicize Mae Mai Muaythai to the international level. By this way, we can create an important basis that will allow Muaythai to be considered in the Olympic Games in the future. The assembly this time was successful and in line with the signing of the MOU between Sports Authority of Thailand and the Royal Thai Army to jointly promote Muaythai to be accepted and spread further to the next level.
